Senior Associate - Investment Banking / Restructuring Location:
Chicago, IL In-Office Compensation: $130,000 -$150,000 Base (bonus
15%) Client: Our client, a boutique investment banking and advisory
firm specializing in restructuring and special situations Our
client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join their
growing advisory team. This is a strong opportunity for
professionals with a background in consulting, investment banking,
or private equity who are looking to deepen their expertise across
M&A, restructuring, and valuation. The Senior Associate will
play a critical role in transaction execution, client deliverables,
and financial modeling. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented,
thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to take ownership
of client workstreams and junior team oversight. Key
Responsibilities: Conduct advanced industry and client research
Prepare and edit marketing materials, including client pitches,
management presentations, and the firm's newsletter Draft
Confidential Information Memoranda and assist with due diligence
coordination Identify and engage potential investors or buyers for
active transactions Build and review complex financial models
including: Comparable company and transaction analyses Discounted
cash flow and cost of capital assumptions Liquidation analyses Debt
capacity modeling Support bankruptcy and restructuring engagements,
including: Development of 13- and 26-week cash flow forecasts
Preparation of bankruptcy-related schedules and reports Broad case
support as needed across restructuring mandates Supervise and
mentor Associates Interact regularly with clients, while
proactively engaging with firm leadership Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required 2-5 years of experience in consulting,
investment banking, or private equity Proficiency in Microsoft
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Strong communication, writing, and
analytical skills Self-starter with demonstrated leadership and
project ownership Preferred: MBA, CPA, or CFA Series 79 and 63 (or
willingness to obtain) Completion of Training the Street or similar
financial modeling programs Interest in pursuing CIRA or CDBV
certifications upon eligibility This role offers significant client

experienced professionals at the VP and Director level. It's an
