Position Overview: Join our finance team as an Accountant, reporting to the Assistant Controller. We're seeking an open-minded and technically skilled professional who is eager to drive continuous improvement in our accounting and reporting processes. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and possess strong communication and organizational skills, you'll be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and optimizing workflows. Position Details: Work Environment: At Duluth Trading Company, we value face-to-face interactions that foster our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. The role is based at our headquarters near Madison, WI. You will work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays if you prefer. What You’ll Do: Assist in preparing entries for the monthly accounting close and preparing quarterly/monthly account reconciliations Investigate and resolve discrepancies found in the general ledger Preparation of trend and other analysis to support review of Balance Sheet and Income Statement for month end reporting Assist with the develop and enhancement of Accounting Dept SOPs and SOX documentation Assist in ad hoc projects throughout the month and/or quarter including assisting in the SEC reporting process Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Adopt organizations values in personal work behaviors, decision making, contributions and interpersonal interactions Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun What We’re Looking For: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar Equivalent work experience will be considered CPA/CA or equivalent preferred or intent to complete CPA 1 year of experience Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication skills Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills Detail oriented with high level of accuracy Team player, have ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenge Experience developing process flowcharts is a plus Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Duluth Headquarters Benefits and Perks Our pursuit of a better way isn't just about our products—it's about our people too.
