• Participate with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
• Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
• Advocate implementation and make certain adherence to accounting policies and procedures
• Come up with relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, the monthly flash report, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
• Extra assignments if necessary
• Secure regular account reconciliation to completion
• Organize multiple procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses
• Backfill for Controller where applicable
• Dissect and generate Ad Hoc financial reports
• Foster accountability and the meeting of deliverables
• Pinpoint and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
• Promote to ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, development, and goal setting
• Support the accounting team during the closing process to confirm deadlines are metRequirements
  • CPA certification desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Microsoft Excel experience desired
  • Month end closings experience
  • Understanding GAAP and firm accounting policies and procedure
  • Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
  • Remarkable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
