Job Description:
General Kinematics is the premier manufacturer of vibrating
equipment for processing bulk materials. From vibratory feeders to
entire process systems, General Kinematics creates the solutions
customers require to process even the most difficult materials.We
are looking for a qualified Marketing Specialist to join our team
in Crystal Lake, Illinois, to play a vital role in lead generation
through tradeshow planning and design. The ideal candidate will
possess a strong understanding of design, planning, teamwork, and
communication skills.Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:
- Defines the creative concept consistent with the corporate
strategy, incorporating branding principles.
- Working with Marketing Manager to develop and track annual
spend to budget.
- Serves as the tradeshow coordinator to schedule, plan,
coordinate, budget, and attend tradeshows with various departments
within GKC.
- Manages the relationship with outside tradeshow exhibit houses
to ensure large-scale GK tradeshow events go according to
plan.
- Maintain and order stock of tradeshow giveaways, clothing, and
promotional items.
- Maintain and order supplies and graphics related to tradeshow
marketing.
- Responsible for the creation and coordination of pre-show
marketing and post-show follow-up.
- Working within Salesforce to create and generate reports,
maintain data integrity, and manage backend administration of the
GKC parts store.
- Creates and writes persuasive, concise copy for print and
electronic media, with minimal re-works.
- Creates, coordinates, and delivers informational and
interactive content, including videos, presentations, infographics,
case studies, and product and service information for print, web,
and online.
- Responsible for creating and coordinating monthly ads in trade
publications and new marketing pieces.
- Creates, supports, and maintains printed sales brochures.
- Responsible for co-developing well-defined product value
propositions by product or industry vertical.
- Continually monitor the content of key competitors and provide
strategic guidance on the competitions approach to key market
sectors.
- Deliver company presentations and training around marketing
campaigns or new initiatives.
- Fully support the Company's ISO objectives, policies,
procedures, and the GK Way Program.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
- The ability to achieve cooperation and collaboration among team
members.
- The ability to align behaviors and decisions with the
organization's vision, values, and mission.
- Demonstrate objectivity, professionalism, integrity, and
honesty in dealing with people at all levels and facilitates an
environment for open and honest discussion.
- The ability to set and continuously measure goals that reflect
the organization's priorities. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years relative work experience with trade
shows
- Heavy Equipment Manufacturing knowledge a plus
- Salesforce (Pardot) Certifications or equivalent a plus
- Proficient with: Google Analytics, WordPress, Illustrator,
Photoshop, and After Effects
- Solid "Value Focused" marketing skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office product
- Willing to travel to tradeshows and events around the US
