Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available,
offering onsite assignments primarily within elementary schools on
the west bank in the New Orleans, LA area. This role is
travel-based with work locations in various schools within the
Jefferson Parish School District. The contract runs from the start
date as soon as possible through 5/22/2026, aligning with the
school calendar. Responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive
speech-language evaluations and therapy services to elementary-aged
students. Collaborating with educators, parents, and other
professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment
plans. Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in
compliance with district guidelines. Participating in meetings such
as IEPs and contributing to student success initiatives. Adhering
to all district policies and procedures, including time management
for a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours daily with a
30-minute unpaid lunch). Qualifications and desired experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication
Disorders. Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure
within Louisiana. ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
Ability to complete separate drug screening and fingerprinting as
required by the district. Previous experience working with
school-aged children is advantageous. Strong communication and
organizational skills. This position requires an onsite presence
with immediate availability preferred. Interviews can be scheduled
quickly, often within 24 hours, with prompt decisions made
following the interview. Working as an SLP in this school-based
