We are seeking a visionary Vice President, Data Science & AI with expertise in Microsoft Azure and Databricks. This executive will lead AI-powered solutions, foster innovation, and contribute to sales enablement and business growth.
Travel Requirement:
This position requires up to 50% travel.
Role responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute the vision for Valtech's data science and AI capabilities.
  
• Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, AI engineers, and analysts.
  
• Align AI initiatives with broader business goals.
  
  
  
• Client Engagement:

  • Act as a strategic advisor, identifying opportunities for AI transformation.
    
  • Design and deliver tailored AI solutions for clients.
    
  • Represent Valtech in the AI community through conferences and publications.
    
    
    
  • Sales Enablement and Growth:
    
    • 
      
    • Partner with sales teams to leverage AI as a competitive advantage.
      
    • Create compelling narratives and business cases for AI solutions.
      
    • Lead client presentations and pitches.
      
    • Identify new revenue streams and expand AI offerings.
      
    • Collaborate with marketing to showcase Valtech's AI capabilities.
      
    • Develop partner relationships within Microsoft and Databricks.
      
      
      
    • Technical Expertise:
      
      • 
        
      • Lead development and deployment of AI models using Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
        
      • Oversee data pipeline architecture ensuring performance and security.
        
      • Stay updated on AI, machine learning, and cloud trends.
        
        
        
        All candidates should meet the minimum qualifications below. We encourage applicants who meet the minimum but not all preferred qualifications to apply.
        
        • 
          
        • 10+ years in data science and AI leadership, with large-scale AI project experience.
          
        • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure ML, Synapse/Fabric, Data Factory) and Databricks.
          
        • Support sales pursuits and drive revenue through AI solutions.
          
        • Knowledge of MLOps and software development best practices.
          
        • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
          
        • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
          
        • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
          
          Preferred qualifications
          
          • 
            
          • Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or related fields.
