Peter Gray Executive Search is posting this position on behalf of Project Home.Before applying, please read the detailed job brochure: ==============================Project Home, a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 1971, performs home repairs, accessibility modifications, and energy improvements to make homes healthier, safer, and to ease the financial burden of high energy bills for people who are struggling financially.With a staff of 30 and a budget of over $7 million, Project Home's work is an investment in homes, neighborhoods, communities and people.This is a great opportunity for an experienced leader with strong expertise in housing program development, administration, and management, with a background in residential home repair and weatherization preferred.ABOUT THE POSITION:The Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Project Home, responsible for overall administration, operations, programming and business affairs of the organization, fulfilling these functions in accordance with the provisions of Project Home's by-laws, policies, and strategic goals.Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Serve as chief spokesperson and ambassador to the community.
  • Manage key stakeholders and engage with community leaders.
  • Report to and recommend policy to the Project Home Board of Directors.
  • Direct staff support for the Board of Directors and its committees.
  • Participate in preparing Project Home's long-range goals and strategic plan. Report implementation plans to the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the management of all finances, including the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
  • Direct the management of all administrative and office functions.
  • Direct the management of all Project Home programs and activities. Serve as liaison to city, county, state and federal agencies and related non-profit organizations.
  • Oversee marketing of all programs and outreach initiatives.
  • Oversee fund development.
  • Oversee housing portfolio.
  • Serve as the leader of the management team and all staff.Qualifications sought include:
    • Experience with housing and program development, administration and management required.
    • Background in residential home repair and weatherization preferred.
    • Possess a deep sense of purpose for and drive to continue Project Home's mission.
    • Demonstrated effective leadership and management skills, with an ability to guide a team through uncertainty, ambiguity, and change.
    • Demonstrated communication and relationship building experience.
    • Knowledgeable about funding sources, with demonstrated success securing funding from public and private grants and donors.
    • Confident, engaging and passionate public speaker.
    • Competent knowledge and use of technology.
