Overview
The Bureau of Technology is seeking a Deputy Director, Enterprise Applications to join the team. The Deputy Director is an executive management position responsible for policy development, strategic planning, and operational direction. The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of information technology applications, collaborating with internal and external partners, and serving as a confidential advisor to senior leadership.

      Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate application lifecycle management and oversee staff.
    • Review project plans and prioritize tasks.
    • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades.
    • Prepare budgets and financial documents.
    • Establish departmental goals and review employee performance.
    • Address complaints and research best practices for solutions.
    • Manage sensitive documents and data security.
    • Assign work to staff and serve as acting director when needed.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

      • Expertise in application lifecycle management, analysis, and design.
      • Ability to select appropriate project delivery methods.
      • Strong communication and leadership skills.
      • Knowledge of data management strategies.
      • Strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities.

        Minimum Qualifications
        Bachelor's degree or higher and four years of managerial experience in application lifecycle management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
        Preferred Qualifications

        • Six or more years of relevant experience.
        • Management or supervisory experience.
        • Master's degree in a related field.

          Physical Requirements
          Sedentary work involving minimal physical effort, primarily sitting, with occasional walking or standing.
