Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years. License: Must have a nursing license or compact license from permanent address state. Certifications: BLS certification through the American Heart Association required. Must-Have: Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, communicate effectively, and coordinate activities in the Operating Room. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to plan for patient care in the Operating Room in a timely manner. Responsibilities include communicating and coordinating Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in surgical case progression and turnover between cases. The position has weekday and weekend call responsibilities. Experience with specific procedures such as neurology aneurysm clipping, cervical and lumbar fusion, laminectomy, craniotomy for tumors, and VP shunts is preferred. Familiarity with equipment such as sonopet, bone scalpel, bipolar, and microscopes is beneficial. Travelers may float to multiple units depending on current staffing needs. Floating will occur if the primary unit no longer has a need. Travelers are required to maintain a professional and flexible approach to scheduling. Orientation is approximately 20 hours and is designed to prepare travelers for their roles. Pass/fail testing will be required with strict passing criteria before starting the position. A telemetry exam must be passed prior to start. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
