Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity centers on
a skilled perioperative role specializing in orthopedic surgery at
a busy specialty hospital focusing on orthopedics and spine care.
The position is contract-based and requires professionals who can
operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment with advanced
surgical technologies. Key Responsibilities: Support a range of
orthopedic surgical procedures including general, hand, foot/ankle,
sports medicine, total joint robotics, and spine orthopedic cases.
Collaborate with surgical teams utilizing cutting-edge robotic
systems like Mako, Rosa, and Cori. Respond promptly to call-back
requirements with a minimum two-hour response time. Participate in
call rotations, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications and
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a Certified Surgical
Technologist (CST) or Surgical Tech in orthopedics. Proficiency
with robotics and solid experience in spine orthopedic surgeries.
Ability to work within 30 minutes of the hospital site. NBSTSA
certification preferred but not mandatory. Current Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification. Must meet credentialing requirements
including lab testing prior to start date. Schedule and Location:
10-hour day shifts with on-call responsibilities. Call rotations
include weekends and holidays. Location within 30 minutes of Des
Plaines, IL, in a specialty hospital environment with a 111-bed
capacity and a 20-bed operating room suite. Des Plaines offers
