Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the
last 3 years in the specialty. License: RN license required.
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required. Must-Have: - Telemetry
oncology experience preferred. - Vent and transplant experience
required. - Must pass a telemetry test prior to starting.
Description: Traveler will work in an IMC Acute Medical/Progressive
Care unit and a Thoracic unit. Evening and night shifts will be
7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Shifts will be scheduled Monday through Friday
with every other weekend and some holidays required. MS/Tele
experience is required. Telemetry experience with oncology,
cardiac, and progressive care is preferred. Nurses in this unit
provide specialized care to acutely ill adult patients who may
present with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability.
Special populations cared for on this unit include patients with
diagnoses such as cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and
post-lung transplant. Team members will work collaboratively in a
fast-paced environment. Critical thinking and teamwork are
essential. Nurses will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary
team with a strong voice in advocating for quality patient care.
Travelers may be required to float to other units depending on
staffing needs. Competency in telemetry monitoring and management
of dysrhythmias is essential for this role. Nurses will manage IVs,
central lines, and other invasive devices. Care will include pre
and post-operative patients as well as managing complex medical
