Job Description:

Join Performance Foodservice, a trailblazer in the food distribution industry, as a CDL A Delivery Route Driver. You'll play a critical role in our mission to supply over 150,000 food and related products nationwide. Driving routes during day shifts, you will ensure safe, timely, and accurate deliveries to our diverse customers from local family eateries to major national chains. This position requires handling various logistical challenges, adhering to transportation laws and safety protocols, and maintaining communication with dispatch and customers to optimize routes and delivery schedules. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport food products to customers according to scheduled routes. Inspect vehicle pre and post-trip, reporting any maintenance issues. Load and unload cargo while securing loads to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records and logs according to DOT regulations. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, acting as the face of the company. Adhere to company standards and safety policies at all times. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Proficiency in using logistics and navigation software Excellent time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Physical ability to handle heavy cargo Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) DOT physical certification Clean driving record
