Overview:
We are seeking a MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. In this
role, you will be using MIG equipment to weld large pieces of steel
and aluminum. You must be able to set up the equipment and clamp,
grind, or bolt the materials into the proper position before
welding. You will also inspect the final products for quality, so
you should be able to read and interpret blueprints and other
technical drawings. Applicants must be able to pass an MIG weld
test.
Responsibilities:
Operate welder to produce parts/productSet up welder, make
necessary adjustments, and replace spool of welding wire and tips
as necessaryObtain designated parts from basket, stack all, skid,
or floorPlace completed products on conveyor lines, or to the
floor, basket, or stack all as designatedPerform visual and
periodic measurement inspections of parts/products to maintain
conformance with quality standards, using prints as the guideReport
to supervisor or maintenance any mechanical problems with the
welderRecord production output on daily reports, including
part/model number and quantitiesFollow all safety rules and keep
work area in a clean and orderly conditionMonitor the parts used
and the parts required for production, and notify supervisor of
material requirements and shortagesOperate grinder to remove excess
burrs, welding wire, etc. as necessaryThis should not be considered

utilize -Wire feed welder, tape measure, and hand toolsWelding
Setups
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificateMIG welding experience (at
least one year) is strongly preferredBasic knowledge of welding
processes and techniques, welding symbols, and blueprint
reading.Ability to read and interpret blueprints with welding
symbolsAbility to lift up to 75 poundsAttention to detail
