Be the reason millions of people find a brighter financial future, while building the future you want, here at Discover.Job Description----We are looking for an experienced, senior leader with a successful track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams across the business, analytics and technology.---- This individual will work on migrating Discover's data and analytics ecosystem to Cloud and next gen technologies.---- This individual needs to demonstrate both breadth and depth across multiple disciplines including Analytics and Cloud-based solutions.Responsibilities

• Partner with Business teams, Data engineers and Analysts to understand current environment and develop architecture patterns and blueprints that can be leveraged on Cloud
• Create, present, and deliver data and platform solutions, roadmaps, and featured use cases at customer meetings, working sessions, educational sessions, and events
• Help build a culture of learning and innovation with a focus on learning new data technologies / practices and spearheading adoption within the organization
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in technology communities and act as an internal mentor to users of these platforms
• Develops and maintains complex front-ends with a focus on user experience
• Develops and maintains backend systems
• Uses holistic knowledge of all products in the team's ecosystem to plan how new systems will be built and integrated
• Innovates on and advocates for best practices and improved processes within the team and with internal partners; stays up to date with technology trends and innovations; mentors team members
• Creates and maintains DevOps processes, application infrastructure, and utilizes cloud services (including database systems and models)
• Supports live systems to ensure business continuitySkills Required
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, or related field
  • 8+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • In lieu of education experience, 10+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experienceSkills Desired
    • 2+ years' experience working with AWS technologies or other cloud providers
    • 2+ years' experience in Financial services
    • Analytics experience
    • Building data-analytic solutions leveraging technologies including Tableau, Spark, Kafka, Python, R,
    • Working experience in Cloud transformation for analytics
    • Hands-on experience building prototypes and solutions using modern Data-analytic tools
    • Experience architecting Real-time solutions to enable business capabilities
    • Proven track record of mentoring team in adopting new technologies
    • Proficiency with Cloud technologies and concepts, Real-time analytics, Streaming data platform and machine learning tools
    • Experience migrating traditional architectures to next-gen data-analytic technology solutions
    • Hands-on experience integrating open source components into data-analytic solutions
    • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres and understanding of columnar data stores such as Redshift or Snowflake??--
