Job Description:
Overview:The Supply Chain Operations Supervisor is responsible
for the daily performance of site operations including meeting
customer needs, communicating business goals and objectives to
partners, and addressing partner issues and concerns. Supervisors
are also responsible for monitoring staffing and overtime, issuing
corrective actions, completing performance evaluations and
maintaining a strong focus on safety in the
workplace.Responsibilities:Provide leadership to others through
example and sharing of knowledge and skills.Prepares daily work
schedules, to meet expected demand and ensure Supply Chain is
meeting or exceeding expectations.Ensures all supply areas managed
by Supply Chain have appropriate stock levels.Ensures that
effective processes and procedures are in place for Receiving,
Storage & Distribution of products.Ensures that an effective
process is in place for managing product expirations and
recalls.Ensures that all applicable policies and procedures are
communicated and followed.Coordinates with hospital and clinic
personnel to maintain accurate and timely delivery of supplies and
equipment.Ensures that equipment is in good working
order.Participates in the hiring of new staff.Orients, trains and
supervises Supply Chain partners.Participates in partner
development and corrective action.Conducts performance
appraisals.Performs other duties as assigned.Education and
Experience:Graduate of high school or equivalent.At least two years
of Supply Chain experience, preferably in a healthcare
setting.Formal supervisory training/previous supervisory experience
preferred.Certification/Licensure:If driving a Mercy vehicle is
required, applicant must have a driving record that is insurable
under Mercyhealth's insurance coverage guidelines. Must have and
maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercy's HR-01 Fleet
Safety Policy. Position is subject to annual driving record
background checks per Mercy's HR-01 Fleet Safety Policy.Special
Physicial Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or
feel; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop,
kneel, or crouch, stand, walk, or sit. The employee is occasionally
required to lift up to 30 pounds from floor to chest, although the
vast majority of items weigh less than 10 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required for this job include close vision, distance
